Qi Gong Enhances Spirit

Qi Gong Ritual practice strengthens and opens the body, the mind and the spirit.  I tend to focus on the “body” or health aspects of Qi Gong because that is what I was studying when I learned Qi Gong. It is not my main focus, however, it is the place where I seem to always start because it is where I began my relationship with Qi Gong. With my regular practice of the Qi Gong 18 Style Ritual, I have cultivated a greater awareness of my mind and spirit.

Just this morning I was fretting over what I had labeled a problem. The solutions were spinning in my head, like the wheel of fortune. Which to choose? What will work? You know the internal conversation. Well, in the midst of thinking I could do “this”, which was a solution (pattern) I have used in the past, a light came on.  A teacher I studied with last year simply said to me, as if he was standing with me: “How Is That Serving You?” Bam! I realized that I have used that “solution” in the past and it didn’t solve the problem, it simply postponed it.  I knew then that I Must Change my approach, find a new and different solution to move beyond the “problem”.

I have not yet decided the actual course of action, however I know it will come to me. Thanks to my Qi Gong practice and the choices I make there, I know that correct action will be taken which will enable me to move forward and not have to deal with this “problem” any longer. I will have changed my solution, solved the problem and learned a lesson.

I think this is Spirit in action. My awareness of Spirit expands more and more over the years as I do the regular Ritual Practice of Qi Gong 18 Style.

Flagstaff Yoga Festival

At the Flagstaff Yoga Festival, Qi Gong 18 Style was a HUGE success in spite of the rain, rain, rain that kept us from having our outdoor class on the lawn amongst the pines.

The 7:00 a.m. Saturday class (this was scheduled to be on the lawn) was “standing room only”. I don’t think we could have wedged one more participant into the room.    For most of the participants, this was their first time experiencing any style of Qi Gong.  All of them played full out and I think we increased the temperature in the room by 20 degrees with all of the ‘Qi’ we were able to circulate.  It was a great way to start the day: full of energy, focused and open — Renewed, Refreshed and Revived!

Sunday’s class was a two hour class starting at 1:00 p.m.– that time after lunch when a lot of people would rather nap than be active. Not the case with this group of eager students, most of who were not at the Saturday class. They were ready to experience Qi Gong 18 Style and learn a new ritual for the improvement of Health and Well Being. The two hours flew by and we were rushed at the end of class to include the 20 minute Ritual but we managed to complete it.

We give sincere thanks to all of the students who participated in our classes. We also appreciate your feed-back which helps us improve our presentation and allows us to give you, the student, more.  It is a pleasure to be with a beautiful group of like-minded individuals.

Most of all, we thank the Flagstaff Yoga Festival for providing us the opportunity to share what we practice: Qi Gong 18 Style. “Great Job” Laura! See you next year.
