We have often observed the effect our practice of Qi Gong 18 Style has on our 3 dogs. They always gather and wait nearby as we practice. They know when we are about to finish, they come and stand at our feet as if asking to be stroked with the strong Qi we have circulated, balanced and release as a result of the Ritual.
Here is a blog post that came across the internet to my computer. I want to share it with you, enjoy.
“You already know that qigong exercises are easier to learn than TaiChi, less strenuous than Yoga and require virtually zero athleticism.
You already know that qigong gives you physical, emotional, mental and spiritual benefits and pretty much makes you better at everything you do.
But not many people know what I’m going to share with you…

**When you practice qigong it’s not just you that benefits it’s everything around you that benefits**
Remember back to the basics when we said that everything,
EVERYTHING is qi/chi or energy? If you hold out your hand, the space between your hand and an object isn’t ’empty space’. It’s filled with qi, we are literally swimming through qi.
Well when you practice an energy art like qigong you are having a positive effect on the qi within you and all around you and everything within a radius of you benefits.
Obviously that radius of effect is dependent upon your level of qigong skill. I remember visiting a qigong master in Penang and talking with him. I was surprised that his ‘hall’ was just an ordinary house next to all of his neighbours. I asked if his neighbours minded and he replied no, because they all felt the beneficial effects of his qigong and his students qigong. It brought harmony to those within his sphere of effect.
You can see this quite quickly with any pets that you have. I remember my cat Sandy was always around when I did my practice. He just used to sit and enjoy being in close proximity with me and he lived to a ripe old age. I’ve noticed this too with Louis the Wonder Pup. He can’t wait to come outside and do his/my qigong practice. Though he sometimes gets a bit boisterous!
So do not be surprised if doing your practice out doors you attract the local wildlife. I remember a story a qigong teacher told me about one of her students:
They were practicing qigong on the beach facing the sea (a brilliant place to practice) when a friendly dog paid her a visit. Being a good student she ignored the dog and continued with her practice.
What she didn’t realise is that the dog was digging a hole near her. Well, not until she fell down it during qi flow!
Fortunately she was not harmed, but it does make a clear case for why ‘Safety first’ is so important.
So remember when you practice qigong not only are you benefiting from that practice but the rest of the world, your family, your
pets and your neighbours also benefit.
Why?
Because you are working to remove blockages to the harmonious flow of energy, not just through the meridian s of your body, but to the flow of energy in your immediate physical surroundings.
This makes sense because as we’ve already said, everything is energy/qi. Even the cutting edge of western science – quantum physics – agrees that everything is energy, it’s just the frequency at which it oscillates that makes the difference to it’s appearance.
Because qigong is the art of energy it comes as no surprise that practicing qigong brings more than just personal benefits to you, it gives benefits to those around you too.
Your plants will appreciate it, your pets will come and join you and those in your close surroundings will benefit too.
Qigong really is that brilliant, I can think of no other art that comes close to bring such physical, emotional, mental and spiritual benefits personally and collectively. If only more of us were practicing qigong then I believe the world would be a much better place.
So take comfort and joy in the knowledge that your practice of qigong is bringing benefits not only to you, but to the world around you as well. And obviously the more skilled you get with qigong the greater your sphere of influence to those around you and yourself will be.
The Qigong Secrets Bottom Line: Qigong is the ultimate win/win art. The more you practice the better benefits you get and the better benefits you bring to the world around you.”
